The Cole Harbour Colts dropped a hard fought 5-4 loss to the Valley Maple Leafs in Game 1 of the best of 7 series on Wednesday night in Windsor. The Leafs took a 2-0 lead after one period Wednesday night, but the Colts stormed back in the second on goals by Leonardo, Carson and Rector to make it 3-2 after two periods. The teams traded goals midway through the third, with the Colts Brandon Beaulieu scoring for the Colts, and then some very questionable referring led to the Leafs tying it up in the last 4 minutes of the game on the power play. The Leafs scored the game winner with 45 second remaining to seal the win. A great effort by the Colts, but a tough loss all the same.

Friday night the Colts were back in Windsor, where they lost game 2 by a score of 7-4. The teams played back and forth hockey for the first half of the game, which saw the teams deadlocked at 3 at the midway point. The Leafs scored two late goals in the second to take a 5-3 lead into the third, which saw the leafs again outscore the Colts to make it a 7-4 final. The last leafs goal going into an empty net.

Don't miss game 3 action as the Colts host their first game of the series at the Dartmouth Sportsplex. Puck drop is at 7:15 PM.
