November 4 vs. Sackville

Goals from three different Colts and a 3rd period comeback were not enough, as the Colts fell to the visiting Sackville Blazers 4-3 in NSJHL action last night at Cole Harbour Place.

The two teams remained deadlocked at 0-0 for most of the first period, before the Blazers scored to take a 1-0 lead. The Colts would then tie things up in the second on a goal from Jacob Tibert (1G, 2A) before falling behind 2-1 part way through the period. The Blazers would add two goals by the mid-point of the third period to go up 4-1, before Nick Monk (1G, 1A) would bring the Colts back within two with just over 8 minutes to go.Nathan Sheppard (1G) would add another goal to bring the Colts within one but that would be all, as the Blazers picked up the 4-3 win. Brett Armstrong (1A) picked up an assist on Monk’s third period goal to round out Colts scoring.

The defeat last night marks the first time the Colts have lost at home this season. The team is next in action Sunday afternoon, as they travel to Windsor to take on the Valley Maple Leafs. Game time is 1:30pm at Hants County Exhibition Arena.
